Forest School

Choose from a variety of forest skills, shelter building, fire lighting, wood craft, learning about local trees and wildlife surrounding the centre. Taught by experieced, fully insured tutors, groups of 15 are best but we can arrange a day to split up groups between activities.

Half Day (about 2 hours) 

Full Day (2, 2 hour sessions) includes one tutor and all materials

If a group is larger than 15 (up to a maximum of 30 participants), leaders will be expected to help and guide, and monitor behaviour.

Archery

A fun and educational activity, led by a qualified and fully insured archery coach.

Archery has many benefits: it's a great way to focus, learning how to tune out distractions; it improves core strength, arms, hands and chest; it's good exercise, it  improves confidence and it's also great fun. After coaching, we offer mini tournaments and history of archery.
Half day (2.5 hours) 
Full day (5 hours)  
Price includes tutor and all equipment.

Animal Encounters with Teaching Talons

Enjoy a fantastic collection of friendly, exotic and companion animals guided by experienced animal handlers - an excellent way to add something different to a residential that's fun and educational.

For schools and youth groups, there's a variety of topics to choose from including: Diet, Habitat, Adaptation, Classification, Natural Behaviour, Rainforest Animals, Nocturnal Animals, Mini Beasts/Invertebrates. 

For half day workshops, choose either 'Discover Dinosaurs' or 'Awesome Animals' or combine the two for a full day booking.  

Groups can be up to 30 in size, risk assessments are available. Specfic topics you have in mind can always be discussed.
